It’s another wonderful Saturday Spankings and I’ve got another snippet for you from If You Can’t Take the Heat, Steel Door Book Two. Last week, you got a teaser about why doms don’t play with Austin. Well, not unless they’re Conrad “Rad” Strauss. (And yes, I know it’s outside the sentence guidelines 🙂 I couldn’t resist. )
“You don’t understand. If there’s any weight on my leg, it gets uncomfortable quickly. I end up having to fidget, which means I can’t stay still for impact play. And with bondage, I’m in major danger of circulation problems, not to mention severe charley horses.” And that always pissed off the doms when he would cry out before they had even got started.
Conrad shrugged. “So we find a way around that. Ever been suspended?”
“No,” Austin said slowly, “But my leg—”
“If we use a sling or something similar, your leg could be positioned however you needed and moveable so that you aren’t stuck in just one position. Your issues don’t bother me, Austin. They can be worked around. The question is, I suppose, do you want to play with me?”
That wasn’t the problem. “Well yes, Conrad, but—”
Conrad expression firmed, a commanding look entering his eyes. “No buts. And call me Rad.”
Austin Reynolds always wanted to be a firefighter but an accident when he was 18 killed that dream. Life as a chef, creating wonderful spicy food, fills that void. His monthly visits to feed the hungry firefighters and paramedics of Station 58 help as well. On one of those visits, he meets someone and is instantly attracted.
FBI agent Conrad “Rad” Strauss is on the hunt for a serial killer who tortures and then burns his victims alive. While he rarely finds time for activities outside of work, the need to fulfill the Dom side of him takes him to a BDSM club where he and Austin find they have more than firefighting in common.
As their attraction heats up, so does the pressure from the killer known as The Artist. For he has his eyes on Austin and unless Conrad can stop him, his lover is about to go up in flames.
