Welcome to another Coming Soon Sunday post. I’ve got a taste from my book which will be out this week!
Now available on early release.
General Release date: Apr 13, 2017
In a city where nothing is unexpected, one meeting changes their lives forever.
Jillian Michaels has had some strange things happen in her life. She’s met angels and demons, fought zombies and battled Elvis’s ghost. But nothing prepares her for running into three strange men one night. She’s the only one who can see or hear them and they won’t let her out of their sight.
For 157 years, Mavik has been stuck in between due to a curse and has been looking for someone to break him out. The only problem is the witch he’s found does not want to release him from his spell. Not ready to give up, he and his companions, Casper and Brinnian, stick to Jillian like glue.
When she tries to help them, things go from bad to worse when the council over psychic and paranormal phenomena take a stance and send Mavik to another realm and her in between with Casper and Brinnian. Time is running out for Mavik and unwittingly Jillian makes a deal with a demon for his release.
With a vengeful council on their tails and love brewing between human and shifter, who knew a deal with a demon would be the least of their worries?
“What kind of power does your council have?” Mavik asked, getting the conversation back to what he wanted to talk about. He was certainly single-minded, not that she could blame him. That was a long time to spend stuck between realms with only a vampire and a fae for company.
“They have full power over the supernatural element,” she explained as she pulled to a stop. Now that night was falling, the strip was bumper to bumper. “It was them over a century ago that banned the fae.”
Brinnian cackled. “New Orleans is better at it.”
“Obviously,” she whispered. “New Orleans is even worse than Vegas when it comes to the supernatural element.”
“Too many rogue vampires,” Casper said with a yawn. “Not to mention their zombie population.”
She shuddered. “I know. They’re everywhere.”
Once again she parked at the MGM Grand and her three companions followed her down the street and into M&M World.
“Your council operates here?” Casper asked as he gawked at a statue of Yellow in the corner.
“They operate out of every business on the strip,” she explained as she walked over to the door and felt it scan her energy. “Every few months they change offices, so to speak.”
The door opened and she walked inside. Casper and Mavik followed, but Brinnian stopped at the door. “I cannot go in,” he said with a growl. “Wards.”
“Perhaps I’ll wait with Brinnian,” Casper said, his eyes lighting up. “I wish to see more of this M&M World.”
“Don’t cause havoc,” Mavik snarled. “We do not want to piss off her council.”
Casper made a disparaging sound but darted back out the door before it shut.
“They won’t cause trouble will they?” she asked, staring at the closed door.
“Oh they will,” he said with a quirk of his lips. His deep green eyes twinkled. “There isn’t much else to do when you’re stuck like we are.”
About the Author:
She lives in the Pacific Northwest, though her heart belongs elsewhere. In the meantime, until she can return to the place she calls home, she happily lives in a city that still thinks it’s a small town. Thankfully, it has given her muse lots of amusing places to start a story.
