I’m doing something a little different today. If you’ve followed my blog at all, you’ll know I write and read M/M and M/F romance. Mostly I prefer reading M/M Romance. Now the question is why?
Here’s the scope of it. I am non-normative. What does that mean? Many people call it non-binary. I hate the term as I’m a computer geek and I refuse to think in terms of myself as a bunch of 1s and 0s. However, the term non-normative fits as, well, I’ve never been ‘normal’. From my eyes which are unlike 99.9% of the rest of the world to the way I perceive things, I’ve come to accept and love the fact I’m not normal.
But it wasn’t until recently that I accepted a truth about myself that I knew, but was never able to express as I didn’t have the vocabulary to ‘get it’. As I was reading an article a few months ago, I saw the term Non-normative and talk about tears. The whole definition and meaning of it was so me, I felt like I’d found home. And, let’s face it, if you follow the activists in non-binary, I don’t feel like I’m like them so never considered I was actually in the same classification, just different.
I have more than one gender. In fact, I have three. I’m not transgender as I’m not transitioning to anything else. Depending on the situation, day, or time of the month (and yes, that was said tongue in cheek), I’m female. I’m male. I’m agender. I’m a multitude and I love that part of me. However, no matter my gender, there is a similarity in my sexuality – I feel like I should call myself malesexual because no matter which genderside of me we’re talking about, I’m attracted to men. Though – if you look at the gender consideration I must add that for me, I’m talking about individuals who are both male gendered and male biologically.
I love the minds of men, the way they see things, and their strength. I also love their bodies from their firm chests to, yes, their cocks. I love the male anatomy. And I love to read and write about two men falling in love with one another in a myriad of ways.
So yes, I voraciously read and when it comes to romance I do read more M/M than M/F. Writing wise, I go in waves. Like right now, I’m fulfilling two sides of myself by writing both M/M and M/F and writing one of each – both at the same time. One in the morning and the other in the afternoon. It’s giving me a balance I really like. And just for fun, I break them up occasionally with inspirational romance which right now is M/M.
Hope this didn’t bore you. I’m excited for my current M/M releases and for next year’s releases as I’ll have three new series of which two of them are both M/F and M/M. So what will you see next year? Community, contemporary, PNR, Urban Fantasy, Inspirational Romance, and a lot of man love going on.
Now, head on out and check out what everyone else is doing for Seductive Studs this week…
