On Thursday, The Binds That Tie, Steel Door #1 was released. So of course I’m giving you a snippet from it. *grins* And after my ‘latte’ comment on Facebook yesterday, I’ve had several questions about it. This doesn’t give you the latte scene, but it definitely gives you a hint about it. Remember – Joaquin is a part time barista- though this kind of latte his company would most likely frown upon.
From Kalen’s POV – he and Joaquin are texting… or is that sexting…
Joaquin: Well, if you wanted to give me a blow job, why didn’t you say so?
Kalen: Are you saying you’ve been holding out on me about the best latte in town?
Joaquin: My company frowns on nature’s milk.
Kalen almost spit out the water in his mouth. Joaquin was a dirty boy when he allowed himself.
Kalen: What are you doing tonight?
Kalen: Never mind. Forgot I was on call. Shit.
That sucked. He could have used an evening of torturing Joaquin and fucking him into the mattress.
Joaquin: I could still come over and make you a… latte.
Kalen: Are you sure? I could get called in at any time. Hell, I might never get home if someone goes into labor before I get off.
Joaquin: If you’re going to get off, come fill my latte.
“Oh, you dirty, dirty boy.”
A barista by day and a drag queen by night, Joaquin Emerald loves his careers. It’s the rest of his life that bothers him. When he finds himself in danger, trapped with no way out, he is rescued by Dr. Kalen Moor.
When they run into one another again, this time at the BDSM club Steel Door, their attraction is intense, their passion is over the top, and their kinks are in alignment. From that moment, it’s hard to stay away from one another. When Joaquin’s past comes back to haunt him, he’s afraid Kalen won’t want him.
It might take going around the law, but Kalen is determined to save his boy, even if it means losing him in the process.
Now every time you look at your coffee, you’re going to remember Kalen & Joaquin – especially if you read the book and get to the REAL latte scene. *weg*
And now on with more spankings… because that’s what you came for, right?
