This week, I’m completing the trilogy run. Over the last two weeks, I gave you snippets from As Natural As Breathing and Took My Breath Away. This week I’m giving you a snippet from the final book in the trilogy Breathe Each Other In.
This is toward the end of their first argument as a couple. Christian doesn’t feel well and Logan offers to spend less time at his family but Christian has been arguing that he’ll be just fine.
“Honey,” Christian whispered, pulling him close. “You love your family. And I love your parents. Today will be fine.”
There was a slight pause where Logan tensed. “Will it? Because I don’t want you to go over there for me only to find it made things worse.”
Reaching around Logan, Christian began to thread his fingers through his boyfriend’s hair, something that made the both of them relax. Breathing slowly, he recognized the validity of both arguments. “Are we at an impasse?” he asked softly. “Our first argument?”
A low chuckle came from beside him even as Logan’s body shook softly. “They say family and the holidays can be the hardest stress for any couple. And yes, I love my family and I want to see my aunt, uncle, cousins and especially my grandparents whom I haven’t seen in three and a half years. And I would love to have you there enjoying it along with me. But you’ve had a rough holiday season, Christian. If this is one thing too much, like I said we can go over there for dinner, spend an hour and then come home. Because here—” Logan patted Christian’s chest, “—is home. And seriously,” he added, his voice dropping to a tone that made Christian’s body wake up in wonderfully erotic ways, “wouldn’t you rather spend the day fucking, spanking, and otherwise getting each other off?”
“You don’t play fair,” Christian groaned even as his cock began to tent the sheet that lay over them. Thinking about it, he made a counter offer. “Four hours.” He truly didn’t want to spend the day with more noise or stress but at the same time he knew Logan loved his family and didn’t want to keep him from them.
Chuckling as Logan’s fingers began to wander down his chest, Christian countered. “Three.”
“Hmmm. How about two and a half and I spank your ass tonight to where you can’t sit down tomorrow?”
“Fuck!” Christian moaned, rolling over on top of Logan and kissing him roughly. “You drive a hard bargain, Logan. But,” he added, moving his hips just enough to make Logan groan, “I drive an even harder one. Three hours, you spank me hard as hell, and I’ll rim you in the shower.”
Logan’s eyes grew impossibly wide until Christian was afraid his blood vessels would begin to pop. “Really?” The breathy tone of Logan’s voice gave him away so clearly that Christian laughed aloud.
“Yes, gorgeous. What do you say? We got a deal?” Slowly, achingly slowly, so slow he had to bite the inside of his cheek so as to not speed up, Christian moved his cock against Logan’s.
“Yes, yes, deal! Now stop torturing me.”
It was difficult to take Logan serious when he whined, but when Logan jerked his hips upward in encouragement, Christian forgot all about anything else but the writhing man underneath him.
Breathe Each Other In
All They Ever Needed, Book 3
About This Book
While the outside world might try to undermine them, Logan and Christian’s relationship just grows stronger. In this, the final part of the All They Ever Needed trilogy, their lives take an unexpected turn.
Christian takes to heart everything he learns from Logan’s father and as he and Logan go forward in their DD relationship, he finds that he is willing to not just take on the mantle of Head of House, but to embrace it. With Logan graduating from college, Christian takes the next logical step and asks his boyfriend to move in.
Even with the stress of student teaching and trying to figure out what to do after graduation, Logan leaps at the chance to live with the man he loves. As the pressure of graduation begins to get to him, the only thing to keep him grounded is the amazing man at his side.
Those closest to them make huge changes in their own lives and when an unexpected job offer lands in Logan’s lap, the two have to make a life altering decision. No matter which way they go, they need to give something up. Play it safe and stay home or accept the job and move away from their families? When it comes to decision time, there is one thing they are not willing to part with. That one thing makes all the difference in the world.
