About This Book
Danny Lawrence used to have a great life. Until his parents found out about him making out with a guy. Now, he’s living in his car while working the same delivery job he’s had since college. One small accident lands him at the Corbin’s Bend Medical Center where he meets Phillip.
Phillip Scott, the new CBMC administrator, has an instant attraction to Danny and when he needs a place to convalesce, offers his own home. Small quarters bring their emotions to the front quickly and things heat up.
Danny’s past rockets back in to his life, shaking their rocky foundation. Something needs to give. Will their choices solidify their relationship, or destroy what they’ve built?
All Corbin’s Bend books can be read as standalones. Each book is about a different couple in the spanking community of Corbin’s Bend, Colorado.
After Ben came to help take care of an upset Jonathon, he left to go back to his office. Phillip felt he might regain some measure of peace again, but it wouldn’t come. Instead, he kept thinking of the young man downstairs who was banged up, and possibly might be gay. “And tossed out on his ear.” Phillip knew that well, as from the sounds of it did Jonathon and Benjamin to some extent. After going to get a piece of pizza from the pizza place just three businesses away, he found himself walking into the emergency room instead of going up to his office. Before long, he was in Danny’s room, seated on a chair in the corner while he gazed at the sleeping man.
The room had changed a bit since he’d been there last. Whereas before it was just simply a hospital room. Now it was a hospital room decorated in all colors of get well cards and balloons. “How the hell did they do this so fast?” he asked aloud, chuckling at how bright the whole place looked now. “You might not know it, Danny, but there’s a whole town here that adores you.”
And if Jonathon was right and he was tossed out of his parents’ house because he was gay, the support would do amazing things. After finishing his pizza, he sipped from his coffee cup, a soft frown deepening the grooves above his eyes as he thought of how he came to be in Corbin’s Bend. Nobody in his family or community had known he was gay. It wasn’t that he wasn’t out, he was to some extent, just not right where he lived. It had taken one loud, conservative asshole spotting him at a kink club three hours away to turn his life from the order it was into a nightmare. Three of the doctors he worked with made claims he had come onto them at some point. When the spanking fetish came out, it just became worse. Two weeks after being outed, the hospital board fired him, handing him the money they had to pay him upon releasing him from his contract. That night, he awoke to find someone had put a dummy staked on his lawn with his name on it and set it ablaze.
Worried that the next thing they might do was to actually set his house on fire, he packed everything up and left. It was a good thing he had enough money to support him for a few months as it wasn’t until June that he saw the posting for a hospital administrator needed for Corbin’s Bend. Finding out that it was a kink-friendly, gay-friendly community would have made him sign on the dotted-line anyway, even without the nice package he got for it. “If he has been kicked in the gut because he’s gay, I can help him,” he murmured. “Being gay isn’t a crime, Danny. And there’s no reason not to be yourself.”
About the Authors:
She lives in the Pacific Northwest, though her heart belongs elsewhere. In the meantime, until she can return to the place she calls home, she happily lives in a city that still thinks it’s a small town. Thankfully, it has given her muse lots of amusing places to start a story.
Jamie Ray is a writer with a passion for relationships of all kinds, the power of submission, and the importance of equality. Delivered to Love was her first foray into the M/m genre, and she was so grateful to have the opportunity to write with such a prolific and experienced author, who also happened to be a friend. That being said- Delivered to Love may or may not be her only book. Nothing has been decided yet.
