Welcome to another My Sexy Saturday! This week, the theme is Talk Sexy to Me – now that can mean all sorts of things as characters can talk through their voices, their expressions, or even their actions.
I’m giving you another snippet from Through the Library Door this week. Nicholas has walked out of the pages of his book into a new world…several centuries in the future for him. Present day for Landria.
Had she heard him correctly? “You want to take a shower with me?” she asked hesitantly. To herself, she chanted, Say yes! Say yes!
“Yes. It looks like a perfect spot for your punishment.”
Arousal shot through her and her clit began to throb. What was it about this man that set her off like a rocket? No guy had ever made her one-tenth as excited as he did. In fact, now that she thought about it, maybe there was a reason she had been a virgin until him. No other man could measure up.
“If you insist,” she whispered, surprised at her own daring as she backed into the shower. He stepped in afterward and gasped as the hot water hit him.
“How does it work?” he asked, looking up at the faucet.
“Modern plumbing. Won’t be created for a couple hundred years for you,” she snickered, grabbing the soap and turning toward him. Thankfully, he did not seem to mind her scrubbing him down with soap, even if it was rose scented. When she attacked his hair though, he became a bit belligerent.
“I just washed my hair last week. I do not think that…”
Sorry, Nicholas… I don’t think she’s gonna buy that excuse.
“Deep within the library there are secrets untold, hidden within the pages of the books it protects. Some say it is old magic, some say it is a curse, but they all say that once a generation, the door will open and the one who enters will live out the story in one of its novels.”
18 yr old Landria expects to spend a dull summer at her aunt and uncle’s house. That is until she stumbles upon a dusty, unused library and finds her way into the pages of an erotic novel. Attacked within moments of entering the story, she is rescued by the hero, Lord Nicholas Waring, who intrigues her more than she wishes. Once she finds herself back home she cannot forget him. When he follows her into her world and they fall in love, will they be forced apart by the words already written or can they rewrite their story?
