This week, I’m giving you another snippet from A Good Family Man, continuing right where last week’s left off.
Grinning, Jack nodded as he looked at his watch. “Well, then. What do you think about dinner and possibly dancing later on at Tracks?”
Josh’s eyes practically popped out of his head. “I love Tracks! There’s a great bistro nearby. What do you say we meet there in…” He looked at his wristwatch. “Two hours? Then hit the club after?” The grin on his face would have been impossible to resist even if Jack had wanted to.
“I’m in, but do you have some place to go change?”
“I can hit my sister’s house. She won’t mind me using her shower.”
“Fantastic. One last run at this wall and then we can head out.”
With a “whoop!” loud enough to get everyone’s attention, Josh attacked the wall, swinging from side to side as he climbed like a madman. Laughing, Jack took the next wall over and started up. The chalk didn’t stop his fingers from slipping but this time when he fell, he didn’t really care. And if he played his cards right, tonight could be one helluva night.
