Want to meet my Chocolate Chile Ice Cream hero?
Jack Carmichael is all sorts of yum. In his forties, he’s spent the last twenty-five years as a U.S. Marshal, protecting those who needed protection. He’s smooth and rich and just like chocolate can be both intense and understated. However, there’s a bite to him, just like the surprise of a chile in chocolate ice cream. If he was real, I’d fight Josh for him. Of course, Josh would probably cream my ass for it. 🙂
Here’s a snippet where his bite comes out to play. (No, he is not a vampire.)
For several minutes, all he was cognizant of was of their deep breathing and the pressure building in his groin. When he finally came, it was with a long, slow moan even as his back arched and he bit Josh’s neck, rocking through his orgasm.
It took a few minutes to come back from pleasure he had denied himself in far too long, but once he did, he yanked back, realizing what he’d done. “Are you all right?” he asked, needing to drag Josh out into light so he could look at his neck.
“All right?” The whispered voice worried him. “That was fucking fantastic. You bite.”
Spluttering a laugh, Jack leaned forward and nipped at the other man’s chin. “Yeah. Shoulda warned you, I guess.”
“Naw. I think it was even better having it happen like this. Damn. Please tell me you’ll do it again.”

Now classified unfit for duty, he retires and comes home to Colorado to figure things out. Dominant and used to taking control like his brother Brent, he has never been interested in spanking. Until a cute Nurse Practitioner catches his attention.

At thirty-two, he figures this is his last-ditch attempt at finding a dominant partner who isn’t abusive. He finds more than his share of dominant men in Corbin’s Bend, not the least of which are the Carmichael brothers. Brent’s dominance is both comforting and unnerving, Jack’s turns him on.
