Sounded too much like a date #gay #spanking #romance #booktour

It is Day 9 of the Took My Breath Away Book Blog Tour. There was a small mix up. My post will pop up on EM Lynley’s blog another day. Will link to it then.

Since I’m thinking on the fly…Gotta love that, don’t you? I thought I would give you another look into Logan’s dealings with New York. It’s a whole new world for him. Not just the place, but the people he deals with on a daily basis. While he knows he looks good, finding out that several men in the area are interested in him just due to his looks has been a bit discombobulating. Especially when he is stuck at a sporting event having to meet three of them at once. In this except, he comes face-to-face with Ryan, someone he has been warned about.

Steven had a few more words with Matthias before leaving. Unfortunately, Ryan reached them at the same time.

Matthias turned and talked to his parents, which left Logan faced with having to deal with someone his cousins had informed him would be after him. “Hey, Ryan,” Cor said rather coldly.

Ryan raised an eyebrow at him and smiled. “Corren. Can you please introduce me to your cousin?”

“I could,” Cor said, “but I don’t think I—” He cut off as Matthias, who still was not looking at them cleared his throat. Grimacing, Cor finally sighed. “Fine. Ryan Brodey, let me introduce you to Logan Mannette, Matthias’ nephew. Logan, this is Ryan Brodey, untrustworthy ally, but he does buy nice gifts.”

“Cor,” Matthias said sharply. “You might want to go see what your mother wants?” Both Cor and Logan turned to look where Cor’s mother sat on the other end of the box they were in. She was not even looking their way.

“Yes, Sir.” Cor stood up, grimaced at Ryan and left. Instantly Ryan took his seat.

“It is very nice to meet you, Logan,” Ryan said politely, holding out his hand.

“Hello.” Logan shook his hand, but did not want to come off as interested, so he pulled it back as soon as possible.

“Are you enjoying your stay in New York?”

“Haven’t seen much of it, actually.”

Ryan flashed him a smile that looked good, but Logan had the feeling it was practiced, though he had no idea why he felt that way. Maybe it was the stuff Cor had told him. “Well, we cannot have that. While you are here, there are things you must see. Mr. Mannette.” He paused and waited for Matthias to turn toward him. “Good to see you, Sir.”

“And you, Ryan. How are Maria and Jonah doing?”

“Quite well, Sir, thank you. I was just telling your nephew that we need to get him out to see the city while he is here. I know you are busy, and I would be most willing to be a tour guide for him.”

Logan tensed, realizing just how smooth Ryan was. If his uncle agreed, it put him in the horrible situation of either saying no and insulting Ryan, which his uncle and grandparents would be unhappy about, or going out with the man, which sounded too much like a date.

Took My Breath Away

All They Ever Needed, Book 2

About This Book

Sometimes taking control is what you need to do and sometimes the best thing you can do is give that control up.

In the summer between Logan’s junior and senior years of college, these two will find out more about each other and themselves than they imagined.

While unhappy to be missing four weeks of Christian’s company, Logan is thrilled to spend a month with his father’s relatives in New York. A naturally gregarious individual, he is used to winning people over and getting things right. Unfortunately, the Mannettes are not what he expects and for the first time in his life, he finds himself seriously doubting who he is.

Christian has regained some of his old self-esteem and is taking on new challenges. Besides growing in the relationship he has with Logan, he takes the time his boyfriend is away to learn more about domestic discipline. He learns a little online but it is actually Gregory, Logan’s father, where he gains most of his information. Including the fact that his natural strength puts him in a leadership position he isn’t expecting.

When Logan returns to a strong, self-assured Christian, it is with complete relief. As discussions turn to domestic discipline and they realize their true roles within their current and future relationship, both of them are able to let their inhibitions go and together their connection grows surprising Logan to an epiphany.
