Unofficial #SixSunday – Nicholas’s 18th century sensibilities

As we know, the official Six Sentence Sunday ended as of last week. But, there have been a few bloghops that have jumped up to take its place. There is, of course, Saturday Seductive Studs every Saturday, giving 200-word glimpses into m/m erotica. You can see a post from me every Saturday for that one.

But there is also an Unofficial Six Sunday. As of when I write this, it hasn’t been ‘solidified’ but, I am writing this post as if it was:)

Through the Library Door will be released this coming Thursday and I am very excited for it. As such, here is a six sentence snippet from Landria’s first spanking at Nicholas’s hand. Nicholas’s 18th century sensibilities see Landria as being far too thin and he has just explained to her that she could gain twenty to thirty pounds and be just perfect.

Strange emotions ran through her. The first was shock, then surprise, finally turning to awe and something else she could not name but made her eyes tear up. The guys in her high school had called her fat, even though she fought constantly to stay a size seven. At a hundred and twenty pounds, she knew she could probably lose five or ten, but it never seemed to want to leave, and yet Nicholas thought she should gain weight? In fact, it sounded as though he wished she would.

Book Description:

Through the Library Door

Length: Novella
Genre: Paranormal BDSM Erotic Romance
Series: The Markham Library, Library Tales
Format: ePub, Kindle, paperback, Large Print paperback
Release Date: February 7, 2013

“Deep within the library there are secrets untold, hidden within the pages of the books it protects. Some say it is old magic, some say it is a curse, but they all say that once a generation, the door will open and the one who enters will live out the story in one of its novels.”

18 yr old Landria expects to spend a dull summer at her aunt and uncle’s house. That is until she stumbles upon a dusty, unused library and finds her way into the pages of an erotic novel. Attacked within moments of entering the story, she is rescued by the hero, Lord Nicholas Waring, who intrigues her more than she wishes. Once she finds herself back home she cannot forget him. When he follows her into her world and they fall in love, will they be forced apart by the words already written or can they rewrite their story?

Through the Library Door is the fourth Library Tale, but it is also the first in The Markham Library series.

Library Tales are tales involving erotica and libraries. Some involve BDSM, some do not. The first three are between 4,000-15,000 words.

The Markham Library series is about a private library belonging to the Markham family. Within this library the heroine or hero of each novella/novel finds her or himself thrust into the storyline of one of the novels it contains.
