Happy Sunday all! Hope your February is going fantastically wonderful for you:)
Another Sunday is upon us… and you know what that means, right? Wonderful snippets to taunt your taste-buds. I accidentally signed up under both Sexy Snippets and Sneak Peek Sunday for the same URL, so you are getting them both in the same post this week.
Here is another taste of Through the Library Door. Given that Valentine’s Day is coming up, I am giving you the scene were Nicholas admits his love for Landria. In this snippet, they both know their limited time is up and that he must leave her to go back to his own time; his own novel.
Nodding, he walked over to where he dropped the crop and walked back. Putting the crop on the chair, he reached forward and hugged her. He knew it was selfish and that he should be more standoffish especially as he would leave her once it was over, but he couldn’t. He needed to feel her in his arms. “I love you,” he whispered. Soft sobs were her only response.
Stepping back he began to rub his hands over her arms and sides, slowly warming up her skin. “Don’t think, my lovely Landria, just feel; let me pleasure you once more.”
“Deep within the library there are secrets untold, hidden within the pages of the books it protects. Some say it is old magic, some say it is a curse, but they all say that once a generation, the door will open and the one who enters will live out the story in one of its novels.”
18 yr old Landria expects to spend a dull summer at her aunt and uncle’s house. That is until she stumbles upon a dusty, unused library and finds her way into the pages of an erotic novel. Attacked within moments of entering the story, she is rescued by the hero, Lord Nicholas Waring, who intrigues her more than she wishes. Once she finds herself back home she cannot forget him. When he follows her into her world and they fall in love, will they be forced apart by the words already written or can they rewrite their story?
