It’s another wonderful Seductive Studs weekend.
This is, once again, from Finding His Home which will be out on Friday 🙂 In this snippet, the annual Labor Day party was fun and Bastien introduced Avery, a guy he is dating, to his roommates. Afterward, he overhears two of his roommates talking. Though he doesn’t get the gist. Do you? 😉
Avery drew away from the curb, and Bastien waved. It was hard to believe he’d only been in Falcon Pointe a couple of weeks. The way things were going, it was sure to be a fantastic term. As he walked back into the house, he could hear the laughter from all the men out back. He turned toward his bedroom but stopped when he heard hisses from upstairs.
“I don’t like him.” Surprised to hear the vehemence in David’s voice, Bastien wondered if one of the guys had made him angry.
“Honey, I’m not surprised.” Alan sounded amused.
“Don’t laugh, Alan. I think the guy’s up to something.”
“Yes. He is. He’s up to getting the guy you want because you’re too slow on the uptake.” A smack filled the air. “Wake up, idiot. Before they’re exclusive and he won’t even notice you anymore.”
Knowing he shouldn’t be listening, Bastien moved quickly into his bedroom and closed the door behind him. So David disliked some guy there tonight because they liked the same person. He was disappointed, even though he’d had no thoughts of going after David. Bastien sighed as he stripped his clothes off. Of course now he didn’t have to worry about his crush. Now he knew David was interested in someone else, he could focus his attention on Avery and school.
As he slipped into bed, though, he felt sad. There was something so sweet, kind, and wonderful about David. And now there was no chance. For some reason that brought a tear to his eye.
