It’s another amazing #Backlist Monday and for the next three weeks, I’m featuring the books from my All They Ever Needed trilogy. I love Logan and Christian and was so excited when I completed their tale – though it was difficult to let them go, I knew it was time.. I hope you enjoy revisiting their love story.
In this scene, Logan is at a NYE party hosted by Christian’s parents. Christian is deep in the closet for everyone but Logan, well, he is until the clock strikes midnight. This is from Logan’s POV.
“All right everyone.” Mr. Darringer’s voice carried above the babble. “Midnight is in two minutes. Find your favorite person and prepare to celebrate the beginning of a new year.”
Cory moved Kelli off to a corner and from the look on her face, she looked forward to kissing him too. His parents joined hands and stared into each other’s eyes, as did Mr. and Mrs. Darringer. Mr. and Mrs. Brune and Kelli’s parents just acted as though they hadn’t heard.
The chanting of the couples in the room just made him feel worse. His eyes darted to Christian who stared out a window into the darkness and he knew he had to get out of there. If not, he might do something stupid like walk over there and kiss him.
He stood up and turned toward the doorway, disturbed to see Trevor standing in front of it, staring at him as though he were a piece of meat.
Now or never. As Logan took a step forward, everything seemed to happen in slow motion. Trevor took a step toward him at the same time Christian whirled around and started walking toward him.
He looked so determined. Another step.
What the hell is he doing? His parents will notice!
Was he coming to tell him that he wanted nothing more to do with him?
Trevor reached out to grasp hold of his arm. At the same time, Christian reached forward and yanked Logan toward him. Their eyes met and Logan gasped at the passion that smoldered within the brown depths.
“Christian,” he whispered.
Christian wrapped his arms around him and their lips touched. As if someone lit a raging fire, Logan grasped hold of him and kissed him back passionately. Their lips moved, tongues slid against one another and Christian’s hands wrapped themselves into Logan’s hair and held him fast as if afraid that if he let him go he would disappear.
Logan’s leg slid in between Christian’s and the feeling of his hard cock rubbing against a hard thigh just made him hornier. He rubbed against him as their kiss continued. Christian took the initiative and pushed his tongue back, entering Logan’s mouth. For the first time in his life, another man took over and Logan found himself understanding what ‘weak in the knees’ meant. If Christian wasn’t holding onto him so strongly, he might have dropped.
The kiss lasted for an unknown moment in time as nothing else existed but the two of them. It wasn’t until Kelli’s giggles came through the fog that Logan realized he was kissing Christian in the front room of the Darringers’ home. Oh, no. What had he done?
Gasping, he pulled back, still thrilled to see the passion in Christian’s eyes, but afraid it would turn to terror when he realized what happened. “Christian?” he whispered softly, trailing his fingers down Christian’s face. “Do you know where we are?”
Chuckling, Christian leaned his forehead against Logan’s. “Yeah, I know where we are, and that I just leapt out of the fucking closet. I hope you are okay with that.”
Logan couldn’t stop the huge grin that crossed his face. “I’m more than okay with that, Christian. Much more than okay.”
